Hella "Biblical Violence" Zach Hill is the greatest drummer of all time. I don't joke.

Ginger Baker, and every drummer since, strongly disagrees.

Surely you can't be serious?
(start at @4:55)
Lets not forget ol' Neil wrote some crazy good lyrics too.

Nope not even close to the talent. Listen to the time signature changes, that's not double bass that's just his right foot and just crazy fucking rhythms. John Bonham was the greatest until Zach Hill came along.

I'm a drummer.

if you say so...which one of these guys has been constantly famous for over 30 years? He's a good drummer, but 'cmon.

yeah Peart is famous, but so is Justin Beiber. Zach taught himself to drum in '95, and he's rocking a 4 piece set and not a hundred and twenty or what ever Neil is using today.

well sure, but by that logic I'm the best skier in the world, I taught my self to ski in 95 and only have 2 par of skis and I ski quite well. I must be the best skier in the world!

No he is the greatest because of his rhythm, sticking, timing, foot work, improvisation, and not being Canadian.
That last point is a joke btw. But seriously he's the best. And don't call me Shirley!

Let's be honest, that guy with the guitar was unnecessary.

Yeah in this video he is.

Not being Canadian is how I evaluate all drummers and pretty much everything else in my life.

Hey I know they're a lot less technical, but thanks for indirectlty introducing me to the Death Grips. He is a pretty sick drummer.

The best, and your welcome. Math Rock can be hard to listen to sometimes.

Yeah I kind of think it's a purposefully opaque genre made for music nerds. I get it, but it's just an exercise in technical mastery which is basically only entertaining as far as you're amazed the person can play it. It's kind of like trying to listen to Bebop. You like it for a little while and then you realize you're having a stroke.
